# Little Koskari A first programming language, taught by asking. Each chapter is a run of questions with their answers beside them. Read the question, decide what you think the answer is, then read the answer. When a rule appears in a box, it is one to keep; there are only a handful. You need the [Quickstart](../../quickstart.md) done first, so that `koskari` starts a REPL and you have run a file. The REPL prompt is `>>> `: a line starting with it is something you type, and the line below is what Koskari shows. When a form is not finished at the end of a line, the prompt becomes `... ` and you keep typing. ```{toctree} :maxdepth: 1 01-words-and-punctuation 02-calling-things 03-results-and-messages 04-names-and-nesting 05-making-choices 06-tiny-functions 07-lists 08-text 09-lists-that-shrink 10-a-program where-next ```
